There is soooo much potential in Boston. Like they've been saying for a long time.....can somebody please blow up Cape Cod. Here's some clips of the very small and very epic set ups I surfed the other day.

2/27/11

My car had no snow on it until last night....I made my way back to N.H. and there were some fun little sloppy waves in front of my place. I walked through about 4"s of powder to walk to the water.

Boston surf session today

I went for a little shred at Winthrop beach today. Pretty small but amazing set ups all around that area. Here's some photos I snapped. I tried to video but the offshore wind knocked over my camera before I even caught one wave lol.

Ping Pong Challenge

So Sam and I had a little Ping "Beer" Pong challenge last night. It was Ping Pong with a tiny twist.....Rules were simple, all you had to do was always have a beer in your left hand and not spill. I sped up the footage and here it is.

Finally little waves 2/22/11

Well we finally got some tiny, but at least surfable waves today. I paddled out with Sanders for about an hour and a half and got re-used to my gloves, booties and hood.

Barefoot Truth concert in Boston

I saw these guys live last night in Boston. I'm not much of a concert guy but they kind of rocked the place. Here's a video of them from a different show.

Fantasy Pro Surfing

The fantasy surfing season is in full swing now. I love being able to watch contests all around the world from my laptop. After the first three events I'm in second place overall on fantasyprosurfing. Last year the winner got a trip for two to Peru I believe. My team name is "totally boss!!". The "VERGAS" finger snap

Long gone are the days of the retro JBG "tough guy" claim that usually involves some sort of nut grab and flip off....

The days of the Slater "in your face claim" have passed....

Even the more subtle single fist pump has had it's year in the sun and it's days are numbered....

This is quickly becoming an era of the Latino based "vergas" finger snap claim! Of course a few of my good Mexican buddies like Oscar Moncada, David Rutherford and Kalle Carranza have been owning this stylish claim for years but as I've been watching the six star prime in Brazil and the four star in Australia the last few days it is apparent that this movement has gone global......If you just SHREDDED a wave so hard that the judges are gonna have a hard time debating between the score of a 9 or a 10, you NEED to add in the "VERGAS" finger snap to seal the deal.

Luckily for you guys Sterling Spencer has recently compiled a sort of "how to" video showing even the novice surfer how it's done.

Condolences go out to Sterling and his family who lost his father (the great Yancy Spencer III) just a few days ago.

Sat 2/19/11 Surf Check

The 22 mph offshores are howling outside right now. It's low tide but unfortunately it's even lower swell lol. Some mid shin high clean ups once in a while.

Seal in the marsh

So I was taking some pictures at dusk and there was a seal in the marsh right behind my place. Here is a few of the pics I took.

Solution to the flatness

So not much change in the surf today except that the wind direction has changed a bit. But check out the solution some people have invented over in Spain!

Back in New England

So if you've never been to New England it's a fact that it is over run with Dunkin' Donuts. There are 977 locations just in Mass. Not bad for a company that I thought had gone out of business when I was 8 years old lol. I knew I was back when I saw this. I've also included a map with all the locations of DD stores.

Fun last surf in SD

Got super fun waves at Blacks today. Saw a bunch of friends I haven't got to see in a while. A great end to a great trip to SD.
